Hermitage Yogi-ling/Bodhgaya:

For a Committee of support

Bodhgaya Europ-Asian Center

Under the aegis spiritual of the Hermitage Yogi-Ling and LAMA Shérab Namdreul, "Bodhgaya Europ-Asian Center experienced since the winter a 2000-2001 satisfactory development, in spite of some difficulties. The work carried out in 2001 and at the beginning of 2002 were carried out in order to be able to receive our first hosts at the time of the gathering for the Initiation of KALACHAKRA in January 2002 with Dalaï LAMA. In January 2003 the center will accomodate them in more comfortable places.

This Center (which for the moment starts in the form of simple Guesthouse with eight double-bedded rooms), has to develop to open with a greater number. The ground floor is practically finished. We will add a first stage which will comprise several other rooms and a large conference room usable by groups of all the schools of Buddhism and on the international level. A second and last stage will have of a temple and a room for a guest of mark.

I point out that in October 2000 we bought the ground which, not being in the "international" sector of Bodhgaya, had to be put in the name of Mr. Prasanta Barua, Buddhist of Indian nationality, which considerably was directly and invested in the implementation of construction. A contract of "management" was drawn up to stipulate the spiritual collaboration of the Hermitage Ling Yogi.

We now wish to constitute a committee of support to consolidate our activity near the Indian local authorities and the European Teachers of Dharma. Initially, we would wish to bring together people sensitive to the symbol which this initiative represents on the ground of Bodhgaya:

the gratitude of an increasingly large number of Europeans devoted to the Teaching of the Buddha.
